1. Check they are DVSA approved
A fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) has passed the DVSA's three-part qualification: theory, driving ability and instructional ability. Qualified ADIs display a green certificate in the car windscreen; trainee instructors display a pink one. Gokhan is a fully qualified DVSA ADI.
2. Ask how lessons are structured
Good lessons follow a clear plan rather than just driving around. Ask how the instructor assesses progress and how they introduce harder situations like roundabouts and dual carriageways.
3. Find a teaching style that suits you
